Shop Policies

At Acid Fuzz we appreciate your business and we want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. We are a small company, not a big box store, and appreciate if you do not order our pedals to re-sell them at a higher price than we charge direct.

 

Shipping

  • While we make every effort to ship purchased items immediately, please allow up to 48 hours for shipments of in stock items. Made to order pedals typically ship within 1-2 weeks.
  • We currently use USPS exclusively for all domestic shipments. 
  • Typically shipments do not come with insurance. If you would like your shipment fully insured for the full value of your order you must contact us to arrange for the purchase of full insurance prior to placing your order. Some shipping services are not available with insurance. Acid Fuzz is not responsible for replacing or reimbursing items lost, stolen, delivered to wrong address, damaged in shipping, etc.. which are not insured or under insured. 

International and Canadian Shipping

  • Please be aware that international shipments may be delayed by shipping companies or customs for various reasons beyond our control.
  • Many of our orders are from international customers. We are not responsible for any shipping fees or taxes your country may charge to receive or return your item. We have no effective way to determine what these fees will be, if any. You must consult the postal service in your country. If you owe additional shipping fees on your order, whether you accept or refuse your order, we are in no way responsible for any fees incurred.
  • Some of our international customers choose USPS 1st Class mail service. This is typically the most economical way to ship your order, and keeps shipping fees low. However, USPS ONLY PROVIDES TRACKING ON 1ST CLASS UP TO THE POINT OF DEPATURE FROM THE UNITED STATES. This is also the case with some USPS Priority Mail International shipments to UK/England. Though we have never had this be an issue to date, we will not reimburse you if you choose a shipping method that isn't fully tracked and your pedal is "lost" in your country. If you are worried about an item being damaged, lost, or stolen in your country please choose a shipping method that is fully tracked and ask for full insurance.
  • If you want your shipment fully insured you must tell us either before or when you place your order. Otherwise, all Priority and Priority Express International shipments come with $200.00 USD of insurance free. If you want your shipment fully insured beyond that amount you will need to purchase additional insurance. In the event that your pedal is lost, stolen, or damaged in shipping it is the buyer's responsibility to file an insurance claim with the carrier. Acid Fuzz will not reimburse you beyond the insured amount of your shipment.



Warranty

  • 5 Year Warranty. Acid Fuzz will repair or replace your pedal if it fails to operate due to defects in materials or workmanship for a period of five years to the date purchased by the original owner.
  • This warranty does not cover misuse, modification, or neglect by the user. For example, if you decide to custom paint your pedal, and get paint inside the switches, which results in malfunction, this is not covered. If you modify the electronics/circuit, and this results in malfunction, it is not covered. If you leave the pedal in a basement that floods, and your pedal is water damaged, this is not covered. Etc...
  • If your warranty has expired we can offer repair at nominal cost. You will be responsible for any fees associated with parts, labor, and shipping. 
  • Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage. Warranty does not apply to the enclosure, graphics, finish, knobs, or hardware. Warranty does not cover any devices that are deliberately destroyed or modified by anyone other than Acid Fuzz.
  • Please note: Extreme temperatures can damage electronics. We try our best to strategically ship so pedals do not spend extended periods of time in warehouses and non-temperature regulated places and damage to pedals in shipping has not been an issue for us so far. Our warranty does not cover damage due to neglect. For example, if you leave a pedal sitting outdoors all summer and it damages your pedal, that is not covered under warranty.
  • Warranty does not cover theft.
  • All warranty repairs must first be authorized prior to sending your pedal for repair. Please contact us if you think there is an issue with your pedal that needs repair. We will send you an RMA number and return label. Your pedal must be shipped within 15 business days of issuing your RMA number. If you send us your pedal without and RMA and without using our return label we will not reimburse your for the shipping and may not be able to service your pedal.




30-day Return Policy on standard purchases

  • You may return most items sold and fulfilled by Acid Fuzz within 30 days of delivery for a full refund minus shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee. Item must be undamaged, and in the same condition as it was shipped. Items not returned in original condition will be subject to a restocking fee of 20% or more depending on their condition. Custom built items with optional features may not be returnable, please contact us for more info.  
  • Most return shipments are paid by the sender We do not supply a return-shipping label.  Acid Fuzz will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).  
  • In the event a return or exchange is necessary, you must contact us within 30 days from the time you receive your item to obtain a return merchandise authorization number (RMA) and return shipping instructions.
  • RMA numbers must be clearly written on the shipping label. Any package sent back without a clearly visible RMA may be refused.
  • Returned merchandise must be shipped within 5 business days of receiving the RMA.
  • Please note: Extreme temperatures can cause pedals with germanium transistors to sound defective and/or possibly noisy. All of our germanium transistor pedals are built at a room temperature of 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C). If you have received a germanium transistor pedal and suspect it is defective, you must make sure you have tested the pedal at normal room temperature before returning the pedal.
  • Restocking fees may be waived at our discretion for an in store credit or exchanges for items in stock.




Privacy Policy

If you are a legitimate customer Acid Fuzz will never share your private information, including your address, email or phone number, with any third party, ever. We will only use your information to complete and communicate with you regarding your order.
